At Grand Palais in Paris, a modern nightclub is the stage for the Chanel’s Spring-Summer 2014 Haute Couture show. A rotating stage revealed two staircases where the famous models appeared and an orchestra accompanying the musician Sebastien Tellier.
Designer Karl Lagerfeld shines in the art of giving Haute Couture a modern tone. Conveying a feeling of adolescence, freedom and lightness with a collection free of unnecessary details, its luxury lies in its elegantly refined materials and stylish clean cuts. Although plain lines are already an primary part of Chanel’s vocabulary, they were enhanced by the sweetness and continuity reflected in each one of the collection’s 64 looks.
