Talented italian product designer Gianluca Sada has designed an innovative prototype of a folding bike which can fold up to the size of an umbrella. A perfect bike for those who loves to cycle a lot. In Sadabike, the wheels have no spokes and the whole bike folds with a single movement, as easy as it looks. You can also use the packaging container as a backpack which makes sense for a foldable bike. We have seen foldable bikes before but the difference objective of this brilliant project is to built a foldable bike with standard dimensions of wheels and have a small package during transportation.
The prototype has a few problems at the moment. Designer is forced to strengthen the rim to make up for the missing spokes, which in turn has added a lot of weight to the wheels. But he is working on it and hope he can fix that before we can find SadaBike on stores.
Check out the photos and video below. He is looking for investors for the construction and marketing of the product nowadays. So if you are interested, you can contact him directly from SadaBike’s official website.
