The Green Village is located in the middle of nature, near a wonderful and typical Indonesian river valley landscape along Bali’s sacred Ayung River. The structures on the village began in 2010. The fundamental ideas behind the project of the village are the concepts of local artisan craftsmanship and the emphasis on sustainability and use of local materials, primarily Bamboo. Bamboo is used both as construction material and also as dominant element in the interior design. Bamboo is being used to create walls, staircases, floors and most of the furnitures. The head designer of the Green Village in Bali is Elora Hardy. Ms. Hardy is the former print designer of the New York based fashion designer Donna Karan.
Of the seven completed homes at Green Village, several are occasionally available to rent. There are eight remaining leasehold plots available with custom design & construction services.
