Every now and then a hidden spot in the wilderness can capture a chilled-out vibe like no other place in any city. Grenadier House In Toronto is somewhere like that. With the backyard now a usable garden space, this beautiful house accommodates a double car port and garage below the main living quarters of the house at the front of the lot, eliminating the need for a lengthy driveway. The auto garage creates a split level concept, with four stories at the back of the house and three at the front. The main living areas are slightly elevated above street level, allowing sun into the south facing facade while maintaining privacy within the dwelling. At the rear, the main living quarters extends into the backyard with large window and door openings. The top floor master suite overlooks the rooftop patio half a story below while maximizing on desired solar gain. Just beautiful.
